For a very long time, we've been planning to Lasik our poor eyes. Having been wearing correction glasses one after another since the third grade is just not at all fun and glamorous (not to mention those that were MiA). The last pair was a three-years worth of outlook disaster but we couldn't afford to look like million others out there and rather held on to that one-stem glasses for as long as we possibly could.

That period is officially over! We resoluted to a revolutionary way of 'creating' our own pair that's all about us: sharp, satirical, bold, creative, and everything fun, bubbly, and super cool. And it's as simple as replacing the tinted lenses on those bug-eyed oversized sunglasses (those big ones like the Oliver Peoples' Chelsea) with the clear correction lenses* (!)
And just to warn you in advance: you'll create tons of buzz (after all you are a trendsetter and you know those who don't get it aren't your crowd), but it's definitely worth the look!

* Please wear wisely and appropriately

Good Morning Sunday!  After a week of sticky nasty weather, it is sunny again!  Our turtles are out on their log (they've been quite depressed with the change of weather) and we were not afraid getting out of the comforter this morning.

Last week was a blast!  From participating in an art auction for a benefit (we got two cool works -- they were below the market price), to the visit to the 'Mean Christine' (she's not that mean, actually, other than to those little 'stars' and 'planets', her terms for surface and deep-pore zits).

A drop-by to a dance company's Open House brought back old memories of being dancers ourselves, growing up.  It also brings out new desire to conquer the dance floor once again, this time maybe doing Hustler, Argentinian Tango, or even Zouk (our stick-like, angle/edge-formed figure makes it funny to do hop-hopey type of dances like the Jitterbug or Swing).

Jazz followed us wherever we went last week.  And we hope it will keep doing so this coming week.

Last week was when old fancies re-match with present reality.  It was monumentally inspirational.

We believe in Good Sundays. Having a good Sunday promises a good week ahead, at least that's what we believe anyway. And here's our version of a good Sunday:

12.49: woke up, a tender post-z moment with your beloved boy, watered the plants, no email checking

1.45: a cup of good morning coffee, a choco donut from Balthazar, and a 20-min therapeutic session of people watching (tons of tourist today)

Many hours in the afternoon (never wear your watch in SoHo): tights shopping at Wolford at the same time the forever-adored Betsey Johnson bought hers (she's such a darling) and glasses shopping at the Oliver Peoples (gotta replace that one-stem prescription glasses we've been wearing for the last two months)

6.25: a hearty Chinese dinner at Joe Shanghai (waiting time: 2 min) accompanied by a cup of Starbucks coffee (loo-wait: 3 min)

8.30: a bloody spooky slash hilarious (felt like forever) 15-mins at the Blood Manor (Got to go there! Waiting time: no time, we're the RIP -or the VIP for the spooked-)

10-something: a night away at the fabulous private New York Sunday party: great groove (Yeah!), sparkly starry people, dance dance dance la la la...

Now: writing this and saying 'hi' to all of you!
HAPPY GOOD SUNDAY and HAPPY GOOD NEW WEEK EVERYBODY!!

We are BACK!!! After months in hibernation, we are returning with more glamour, sparkles, spectacles, and wisdom.
We experienced them all: heartache, tears, dramas, happiness... more than ever been: a Fox Terrier costs 20 years of human lives, a con-family testifies and the justice falls over, sketchy underground excavations in Chinatown (who knows they sell more bags than Sixth Avenue), one hundred twenty three children books scavenging in less than one hour, long-distance peek-a-boo with a four year-old...

Wish we're still young and carefree; the truth is we're older (not that old) and life ain't that easy.

Ah, whatever....
SEE YOU TOMORROW EVERYBODY!!
