Revive NYC Identity!

Let us rebel now. Seeing those many taxis with the new re-designed logo does feel like committing some sort of crime ourselves. It is embarrassing, no matter how effortful we are trying to justify (and to support) the (absurd) choice made by the folks responsible (and paid) to keep NYC wonderful and edgy.
The twisted logo is no doubt a product of some ill politics, and believe it or not, the new campaign really hurts the City more than revives it. The logo contains no dignity, no authority, nothing like the New York City we are familiar with and proud of: tough, respectable, and goddamn beautiful. We wonder, who in the right mind would choose this amateur design and proudly trying to redefine the classic NYC ego with some atrociousness.

Is this one of the things New York tax-payers are dealing with: a power struggle between the right, the left, and the no brains?

Please help to keep our beloved New York beautiful. Ban the bad for the man forever. And that should start NOW!

ps: And oh, don't forget the same logo on the 'I am a New Yorker. Welcome to our city' banners all across the town...
Just plain ugly.
